🌙 Sunday R.E.S.E.T. #17: my current evening routine
plus, a round-up of my favorite condiments & the world's most PERFECT cardigan. trust me.
Hello, hello, my friend—
Happy Sunday!
As I put the final touches on this post, it is Saturday afternoon. My son is napping, I’m sipping ginger-turmeric tea, and I may or may not still be wearing my pajamas. Ahhhhhh, weekends.
Without further adou, here’s a peek at what we are covering this week in our Sunday R.E.S.E.T.:
🥳 REFLECTING: Officially ONE YEAR of The Reset, and I have some thoughts…
🥫EATING: A round-up of some of my favorite… condiments? What can I say, I’m a saucy gal!
🙋🏻♀️ STYLE: Not to be dramatic, but I found thee sweater of all sweaters.
💤 EVENING ROUTINE: A peek at my current evening wind-down routine. From holistic rituals to screen-time boundaries and my nightly skincare, I’m outlining it all.
💭 THINKING ABOUT: One quote that has really stuck with me lately. (If you struggle to be consistent with your habits, you’ll want to read this…)
Welp, officially one year of The Reset, and I’ll sum it up with this—
I finally feel like I’ve found my internet home.
After years of sharing health and lifestyle content on Instagram & my blog (and genuinely loving it!), I’ll admit that I was losing steam.
It’s interesting because while I have genuinely have always loved being creative, giving health tips, sharing bits and pieces of my life, that feeling slowly changed once I had my son. I realized that I simply could NOT keep investing hours and hours each week “creating content” essentially for free (aside from unpredictable, inconsistent affiliate income). It simply wasn't worth it when I could be spending that precious time with my child or focusing on more stable, long-term aspects of my career (teaching college courses, health coaching, etc.).
However, it felt confusing because I still wanted to show up online, but I just knew that it wasn’t really sustainable from a work perspective in this new chapter of life as a mom unless I found a way to make it feel more “worth it” in terms of time and energy.
That said, I felt a bit lost on HOW to do that as the typical routes of monetizing online didn't feel aligned to me whatsoever— taking a ton of formalized sponsorships (not my thing), running annoying pop-up ads all over my blog (the worst user experience), or making clicky-baity 15-second videos to appease the the algorithm Gods (no thank you). I simply did not want to do these things.
… and then I found Substack.
And it changed everything.
This platform allows me to be READER-supported, which gives me creative freedom, community, and connection—and allows me to finally monetize and grow my small business in a way that feels authentic, ethical, and aligned for me. No forced sponsorships and no click-baity reels required?! Sign me up!
One year in, and I am truly blown away by the momentum.
I TRULY love sharing health tips, lifestyle recommendations, and personal reflections with you guys. I take your subscription, your membership, and your dollar seriously. I promise to give you my best, show up for you consistently (I’ve published 97 articles in the last 52 weeks alone), and to always be open to feedback and ideas along the way.
As I reflect on 1 year of The Reset, I’ll sum it up with this—
I feel so at peace showing up here.
I feel so authentic showing up here.
I feel so abundant showing up here.
I feel so safe showing up here.
I feel so INSPIRED showing up here.
And thank you for being here.
Okay, sappiness aside— let’s get SAUCY.
One thing you should know about me— I’m a total condiment girly. If there are fries, a sandwich, or really anything that I can dip, top, or elevate with a simple sauce, you better believe I’m going to!
Here’s a quick round-up of a few of my favorite sauces:
This creamy sirachi aioli*: my in-laws may or may not have gotten this for me as a stocking stuffer on Christmas one year…
Fly by Jin spicy sweet chili flakes*: Will I ever shut up about these? No. No, I won’t. if you like spice, you NEED to try these. Trust me.
Japanese BBQ Sauce*: YUM. So good. I personally opt for the gluten-free version, but this versatile sauce adds such a delicious flavor to nearly any dish. Love it!
Grlk sauce collection: These. SAUCES. For a while they have only been available in specialty foods stores in Minnesota (we love to see a MN-made company!), but I just realized they have an online order. You must try. The plain garlic & the harrissa-saffron are my personal favs.
This aioli trio*: While I am still partial to the siracha aioli listed above, these different flavors are also so, so good.
Mike’s hot honey*: If you know you know. This honey has a cult following for a reason. The sweetness of honey with just a hint of spice. An amazing topping for salmon, pizza, and beyond.
Wow, the way I just had to cut myself off from going on a full-on, 10-page monologue about all of my favorite condiments. Whew. Hopefully these 6 were a good starting place for you!
(And, now it’s my turn to mooch ideas— any other sauce lovers out there that want to share their fav condiment? Any random dips, sauces, & toppings that I must try?! The more obscure the better!)

Guys, I did it.
I found the perfect cardigan.
It is slouchy yet not too oversized. It is the perfect weight— a beautiful, thick-knit without being too warm. It is soft and cozy, but without pilling or shedding. You can dress it up or dress it down…
