š³ If I Had to Prioritize Just a Few Healthy Habits, Hereās What I'd Choose...
(and we are getting specific...)
In the world of wellness, there's an endless list of things you ācouldā do every day.
You could meditate, you could intermittent fast, you could go to yoga, focus on protein, consume nootropics, take your supplements, cut out coffee, or even try cryotherapyā¦. the options are limitless.
But in a typical 24-hour day? Who really has time for all that?
Not me. Thatās for sure.
So, instead of overwhelming yourself trying to do #AllTheThings, letās tune out the wellness noise and identify your own non-negotiables for healthā¦
You might be wondering, what exactly is a non-negotiable, Kate? Well, my friend, itās not as intense as it sounds š¤£
This is just a term I use to describe the few, most impactful habits that truly move the needle on your energy, mood, nutrition, and overall health.
Non-negotiable doesnāt mean you have to do them EVERY single day or be ridiculously strict. Instead, think of them as the essential pillars of health that you aim to do most days.
And theyāll likely look different for each of us! ā¬ļø
If you're diabetic, checking your blood sugar is likely a non-negotiable.
If you want to tone up, prioritizing protein or weight lifting could be essential.
If you struggle with anxiety, daily meditation might be crucial for you.
If youāre breastfeeding, perhaps hydration is a large focus.
If youāre dealing with fatigue, a 10PM bedtime could become one of your priorities.
The point isā non-negotiables are the foundational habits that most move the needle for you.
And, today, Iām pulling back the curtain to share *my* top 10 personal health priorities as a busy, 30-something working mom. Despite this hectic stage of life, these are the simple habits I fit into my day to stay vibrant, healthy, and active.
I know having TEN ānon-negotiablesā may sound intense, but most of these are straightforward practices that take less than 5 minutes and blend seamlessly into my existing routine. Iām excited to share them with you!
Andā bonusā weāll also dive into how I even further prioritize these habits on particularly chaotic days. Not to mention, Iāve included a digital worksheet to help you identify and manage your own health non-negotiables.
Letās get started!
āļø 1. Drinking organic, mold-free coffee
Does this add any time to my day? No.
But does it benefit my health? You bet.
Each morning, I choose an organic, mold-free coffee when Iām brewing my daily cup (or two or threeā¦š¤Ŗ) of java.
Itās funny because people are so intentional about buying organic produce, quality meat, and pure food productsā yet they overlook that coffee is one of the most pesticide-covered crops out there and many coffee beans are contaminated with mold (yes, reallyā¦).
I drink coffee every single day, so I just try to get a brand that supports my health and doesnāt contain unwanted chemicals or mycotoxins. (If youāre looking for an unsponsored rec, this brand has been my go-to for years. Each bag is organic and tested for mold!)
